These shirts are an instant favorite. The cotton is soft and breathable the color is rich and the shirts make people laugh. Making cheese is a many level process and has the farm in a whirlwind every day. The process requires love laughter and ambition. We do it in a very traditional hands on way which involves elements of cheesemaking that have been in practice for centuries. Carpe Caseum means ‘Seize the Cheese’ in Latin which we find appropriate because latin is the root of many languages and and our cheese making methods are derived from histories of cheese making.

We printed this and we find that somedays the whole staff is wearing either this shirt or our Chicken Deal shirt which is great success as far as we selected a color and fabric that folks want to wear.

The artist and designer is Rye B. Buckley who was born on the farm and has been witness to the Berle Farm cheese adventures his whole life. He summed up Dairy farm living where cheese is made in one sketch so we had to make a shirt.
